Our career simulation studios help students explore and experience different career options through experiential learning activities and cutting-edge technologies, where students can dig deep into their passions and get a taste of what a future career might be like.

Fashion Design Studio

T-Shirt Decorating

Students will have the opportunity to decorate their own t-shirt with various design tools such as fabric markers, gemstones, and tulle.

Dress Making

Students will turn everyday pillowcases into fashionable attire and then donate them (choice of light sewing or double-sided fabric tape).

Footwear Design

Students will be able to decorate a pair of sneakers or any old shoes they have at home that they would like to clean and design to give their shoes a fresh new look.

Beauty & Skin Care Studio

Spa Facials

Students will get dressed in spa robes and learn proper skin care techniques.

Manicures and Pedicures

Students will experience a manicure and pedicure, and learn about nail and foot care.

Arts & Crafts Studio

Painting

Students will create a finished work of art during each class. Students will show off their own work in a student exhibition. We provide all the painting supplies and even clean up the mess after!

Plastic Lace Crafts & Accessories

Students will learn how to make key chains, lanyards, jewelry, and other accessories.

Scented Candle Making

Students will learn how to make scented candles using eco-friendly, nontoxic ingredients to take home as a gift to someone they love.

Screenwriting, Film making & Photography Studio

Screenwriting

In a fun and productive space, students will write, shoot, and edit short films under the guidance of professional screenwriters and filmmakers.

Photography

Students will learn how to create stunning digital photography, and enhance imagery in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

Filmmaking

While creating a short commercial or similar project, students will practice shooting and editing techniques to create a cohesive movie, and apply the design thinking process to peer critiquing.

Agricultural Science Studio

Architecture is defined as the art and science of designing buildings and structures that will be suited for living, working, entertaining, and so much more. NAPCA students will be introduced to the field of architecture.

Dance Studio

Students will have a fun time learning new dance moves and choreography each day!

The Baking Studio

Students will have fun baking a variety of healthy snacks and treats.

Engineering Studio

Students will be introduced to the field of engineering and have the opportunity to design, build, test, and refine their own creations in a safe and fun environment.

Nursing & Health Care Studio

Students will be introduced and inspired to pursue a career in the field of nursing. Students will explore the role and specific responsibilities of nurses.

America’s Next Top Model Studio

Students will learn the technical and emotional adjustments required for working in front of the camera.

DJ Music Mixing & Beat Making Studio

Students will get hands on experience with beat making, mixing, and recording music using two turntables, a DJ mixer, music production software, and a beat-making machine.

Acting for Film & Television Studio

Students will learn the technical and emotional adjustments required for working in front of the camera in a relaxed and truthful way.

Graphic Design Studio

Students will receive a hands-on introduction to the creative process and core elements of graphic design for a variety of outputs, including print and digital media.

Website Design & Development Studio

Students will learn the essentials of building a website, including basic content creation, insertion of images and multimedia, installation of various plug-ins, and more.

Video Editing Studio

Students will receive hands-on instruction and practice with simple editing techniques and more complex compositing, layering, tilting, motion graphics, and sound design.

The Science Lab

Students will engage in hands-on science activities and fun experiments that will help them develop confidence and enthusiasm about science as they experience and understand the science they see around them everyday.

Slime Making

Students will take a class that is all about making slime! They will have the opportunity to make fluffy slime, glow in the dark slime, and more! Participants will get to take home all of the slime that they make at the end of the class.

Make Homemade Ice Cream

Have you ever made ice cream? In this science activity, you will learn how to make your very own ice cream from scratch!

Architecture Studio

Veterinary Medicine & Animal Care Studio

Students will get a taste of what it’s like to work as a Veterinarian professional. Students will explore and experience different career paths in the veterinary medicine and animal care field through experiential learning activities, exciting hands on simulations and workshops, and interactive meetings with experienced professionals in the field.

Business & Entrepreneurship Studio

Students will learn about various types of careers in the business and entrepreneurship industry. Students will explore and experience what it’s like to start, manage, and build a for profit start-up company or non-profit organization – from idea generation to securing funding, to launching the business.

Aviation & Aerospace Studio

Students will explore and experience how engineers design and build state-of-the-art aircraft and spacecraft. Students will gain insight about the different career paths in the aviation and aerospace industry.

Medical Physician Studio

Students will explore the life-like experiences of being a medical doctor: its fulfillment and its challenges. Students will learn about the steps required to become a medical doctor and gain insight on the different career paths as a physician.

Optometry Studio

Students will explore and experience the roles of an optometrist. Students will learn about a variety of careers in the field of optometry and gain insight on how to become an optometrist.

Dentistry Studio

Students will experience first hand the important roles of a dentist and learn how to become a dentist professional. Students will explore different career paths in the field of dentistry through experiential learning activities, exciting hands on simulations and workshops, and interactive meetings with experienced professionals in the field of dentistry.

Pharmacy Studio

Students will learn how to become a pharmacist, engage with practicing pharmacists, do hands-on experiments in the lab, and experience what it’s like to be a pharmacist. Students will learn about different careers in the field of pharmacy.

Law & Trial Advocacy Studio

The classroom becomes a courtroom as students assume the role of a trial attorney and battle for justice. Students will receive hands on experience with researching the evidence, preparing witnesses, crafting arguments, and ultimately presenting their case before a judge. Students will explore and experience the roles of an attorney. Students will learn about a variety of careers in the legal field.

Each day of the program, students will participate in a career exploration seminar and simulation studio, where they will explore and experience a future career path to help them discover their career interests and learn about various types of careers.
Students will make connections with new and experienced professionals from different career fields to help them gain insight into their future careers while learning valuable strategies on how to achieve their specific career interests.

Acting for Film & Television

Film and television acting is different than acting on commercials and in theater. Students will gain an insider's perspective to acting in the film and television industries and explore the different types of career paths in the field.

Summer Mathematics Course

Students will strengthen their confidence and foundational skills in mathematics to improve their overall performance in school for the next grade level.

Academic Tutoring

NAPCA provides academic tutoring in Math and English Language Arts to help improve your student’s confidence and academic performance.
Tutoring focuses on two key areas. First, we work to close any learning gaps so each student has a strong foundation on which to build. Then, we work to help each student master new concepts.

Academic Writing, Reading Comprehension & Vocabulary Building Course

Students will improve their vocabulary, reading comprehension, and receive targeted instruction in sentence writing, paragraph writing, grammar and mechanics, and introductory essay writing.

Public Speaking Course

Your child can become an effective public speaker! In this course, students will discover how to talk confidently and persuasively to both large audiences and small groups. Students will learn how to plan and deliver presentations skillfully and how to manage one of the most common public speaking barriers—fear of failure. Students will also get tips on how to use both verbal and nonverbal communication effectively.

NAPCA offers a social-emotional skills development seminar that help students manage their emotions, build healthy relationships, and show empathy and understanding. The social-emotional skills development seminar focuses on helping kids acquire the following skills:

NAPCA offers an academic skills development seminar that provides students with the tools and strategies to become self motivated and responsible learners, with positive attitudes and effective learning habits to succeed in school. Seminar topics include:

DINING ON CAMPUS

Continental Breakfast, Lunch, & Healthy Snacks

We serve continental breakfast, lunch, healthy snacks, and occasional treats. Most of our lunches come from local food vendors and are prepared fresh just moments before lunch.

If you decide, for whatever reason, to pack a lunch or additional snacks for your child, please leave out any products containing nuts for the safety of other children who may have severe allergies.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

We do our best to cater to dietary restrictions and selective food eaters. If you don’t see something on the posted menu that works for your child, we ask parents to contact us in advance so that we can accommodate your needs.

CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST

Should students need a little extra “pick-me-up” in the morning, we provide our students with a light continental breakfast, which includes items such as bagels, fruit, yogurt, and french toast sticks.

LUNCH

Students choose their lunch: During the morning check in, students order their lunch which includes an entree and a number of sides.

HEALTHY SNACKS

Healthy snacks include items such as fruit, veggies, and yogurt, which are served from 10am to 5pm. We also provide an organic popsicle as a healthy treat.

Note: Our lunch menu will be provided to all admitted camp participants prior to the first day of the program.

Delivered by staff directly to students: Lunch is delivered by staff directly to students while they sit back and connect with their friends. No long buffet lines.

College Tours

Students will experience college life through interactive visits to two-year and four-year college campuses designed exclusively for elementary school students.
